According to Article 145 paragraph (2) of the regulations: Products entering Indonesia from abroad must obtain halal certification, as stipulated in Regulation No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Certification. Halal products already certified by Foreign Halal Certification Bodies (FHCBs) are exempt from re-applying for certification, provided that the halal certificate is issued by an FHCB cooperating with the Halal Product Certification Body (BPJPH) and recognized through mutual recognition arrangements. Such foreign halal certificates must be registered with BPJPH by the importer or the official representative of the foreign company before the product is distributed in the Indonesian market. To facilitate this registration, implementing guidelines for foreign halal certificate registration have been established.
